Distribution of tribal population

The main tribal groups in Madhya Pradesh are GondBhilBaigaKorkuBhariyaHalbaKaulMariya, and Sahariya.
DharJhabua and Mandla districts have a more than 50 percent tribal population. In KhargoneChhindwaraSeoniSidhi and Shahdol districts, 30 to 50 percent of the population is of tribes. The largest population is that of the Bhil tribe.

·         The Khajuraho Group of Monuments (1986)
  1. The Khajuraho group of temples were built together but were dedicated to two religions, Hinduism and Jainism(adinatha and santhinatha temple)
  2. The temples are famous for their nagara-style architectural symbolism and their erotic sculptures.
  3. Most Khajuraho temples were built between 950 and 1050 by the Chandela Rajput dynasty.
  4. Of the various surviving temples, the Kandariya Mahadeva Temple is decorated with a profusion of sculptures with intricate details, symbolism and expressiveness of ancient Indian art.

·         Buddhist Monuments at Sanchi (1989)

  1. The Great Stupa at Sanchi is one of the oldest stone structures in India. and was originally commissioned by the emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BCE

Bhopal

Indore

Jabalpur 
1.    is a tier 2 city in the state of Madhya Pradesh

Gwalior 
1.    the northern-most city in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh and one of the Counter-magnet cities. Located 319 kilometres (198 mi) south of Delhi, the capital city of India
2.    The Jain Sculptures at Gwalior Fort were built under Tomar rule. Man Singh Tomar made his dream palace, the Man Mandir Palace which is now a tourist attraction at Gwalior Fort.[7] Babur described it as "the pearl in the necklace of forts of India and not even the winds could touch its masts

Ujjain 
1.    It is a known Hindu pilgrimage centre with the Kumbh Mela held here every 12 years.
2.    An ancient city situated on the eastern bank of the Kshipra River, Ujjain was the most prominent city on the Malwa plateau of central India for much of its history
3.    Mangalnath Temple, tropic of cancer passes through this temple
4.    The Ujjain Simhastha is a mass Hindu pilgrimage, and one of the fairs recognised as Kumbh Melas.

Economy
1.    Madhya pradesh is also famous for honey production in district Morena.
2.    The state has an agrarian economy
3.    Minor Forest Produce (MFP), such as tendu leaves used to roll beedi, sal seed, teak seed, and lak also contribute to state's rural economy
4.    Madhya Pradesh has 5 Special Economic Zones (SEZs): 3 IT/ITeS (Indore, Gwalior), 1 mineral-based (Jabalpur) and 1 agro-based (Jabalpur)
5.    state's tourism industry is growing, fuelled by wildlife tourism and a number of places of historical and religious significance
